With over 15 years of experience in education, I bring a unique blend of classroom expertise, curriculum design, and leadership to my role as Director of Woodlands Day School. I hold a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction and am a licensed teacher in Virginia, with a background that spans early childhood and elementary education, social-emotional learning in the nonprofit sector, and project management. My passion lies in creating enriching, play-based learning environments where young children thrive and caregivers feel supported—because I believe joyful learning lays the foundation for lifelong growth.

Hi, I’m Lauren! I’m a preschool assistant, mom of three, and lover of all things outdoors and creative. I believe learning should be fun, hands-on, and full of wonder. I’m also passionate about advocacy and supporting every child’s unique needs and voice. When I’m not in the classroom, you’ll find me gardening, thrifting treasures, or exploring nature with my kids. I bring energy, patience, and heart to every day with your little ones!
